Nokia E71 Review

For just a couple of days with the Nokia E71, I can definitely say that it is the most equipped and best smartphone from Nokia. Although there are some downside on the phone but it is understandable and expected from a small phone.

The new Nokia E71 is just a palm size of 57 mm. It is much smaller than Nokia E61i, 70 mm. The Big N amazingly trimmed down E71’s thickness to just 10 mm compared to E61i that is still 13.9 mm.

It is the slimmest of all E business series of Nokia. It is way much slimmer than Nokia E51 at 12 mm. It is as slim as Nokia 5310 XpressMusic series and Nokia 6500 Classic, but with full features that you can enjoy!

Due to size constraints, Nokia E71 screen display got narrower from an original size of 2.8 inches with Nokia E61 to 2.36 inches with 320×240 pixels resolution. This wonderful smartphone comes with QWERTY keyboard, although the keys are little too crowded.

However, Nokia did a reasonable trade off from these because the keys are embossed beautifully to prevent users from accidentally hitting the neighboring keys. When I tried the keypads, I never imagine that typing from these keypads would be as comfortable as what it looks.

E71 number keys are not confusing to use compared to other smartphones because its number keys are positioned at the center. This makes them easily type even using a single hand. Read more… »

Some analysts say that the economic stability of a nation can be determined by the suggested retail price of an iPod in that country. Apple was extremely happy with the booming success of their mp3 player, so they decided to combine that with another device many people can’t live without, the mobile phone. Hence, the iPhone was born.

The iPhone was made available in the United States in June 29, 2007. AT&T Mobility, formerly Cingular Wireless, was the service provider lucky enough to win the rights to distributing the unit with their subscription plan. The iPhone comes in two models, the 4GB unit costs $499 and the 8GB unit costs $599. During the launching weekend of the iPhone, Apple reported a total of 270,000 phones sold within 30 hours.
